Suspected Case of A(H1N1) in Naga City?

This is quite freaky! As much as I don't want to believe, I'm still a lil bit scared about this A(h1n1) crap and the mere fact that the suspected case is here in Naga City? Omg, I hope the test results will be negative. Here's the news from Inquirer.net

MANILA, Philippines – (UPDATE) A total of 38 people were treated as possible Influenza A(H1N1) carriers in the Philippines but only one of them, a four-year old girl, remained under observation, the Department of Health (DoH) said Tuesday.

All 37 other cases under observation since May 1 have been tested negative for the novel H1N1 virus, and so far 35 of them have been discharged from hospitals, health undersecretary Mario Villaverde said.

Test results for the four-year-old girl have not been released, Villaverde said.

The girl arrived from the United States late last week and was brought to the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) Manila on Monday for observation after she developed flu symptoms, he said.

Villaverde said the DoH was updating its record of cases under observation after private hospitals reported the suspected cases they have received since May 1.

The girl arrived in Naga City last Friday from Manila, where she and her family planed in from San Diego, California to attend a wedding, said Naga City health officer Vito Borja.

City officials requested the physician who attended to the girl and her family to observe self-quarantine while the girl was undergoing further tests, Borja said.

Naga City Mayor Jesse Robredo, meanwhile, appealed for calm among the residents.
