DEPARTMENT OF TOURISM RECOGNIZES AVENUE PLAZA HOTEL AS ONE OF THE TOURISM CHAMPIONS IN THE 1stGAYON BICOL AWARDS 2013 FOR ENTERPRISE SERVICE EXCELLENCE and celebrates the award with a HOMETOWN SPECIALS, giving Bicolanos 25% discount on published room rates

Avenue Plaza Hotel receives another accolade as one of the pioneer awardees in the first Gayon Bicol Awards 2013. The Gayon Bicol Awards 2013 recognizes and honors individuals, groups and institutions in the tourism sector of Bicol. The criteria for the awards are leadership, innovation, and creativity, contribution to the development of international, national, regional and local tourism.

Department of Tourism - Region V awarded the Plaque of Recognition to Avenue Plaza Hotel for Enterprise Service Excellence in recognition of its untiring efforts in sustaining the international standards for tourism services towards global competitiveness.

The award is presented by DOT Usec.Victoria Jasmin, Asec.Rolando Canizal and Dir. Maria Ravanilla to Avenue Plaza Hotel’s President and General Manager Mr. Allan S. Cu last September 26, 2013 during the Regional Tourism Summit held in Legazpi City.

Avenue Plaza Hotel first opened its door in September 2007 and since served with the promise of an experience of the good life. As greenhorns in the industry, they dared to tread the fine line of attracting the world into Naga City, and showcasing Bicol’s best to the world.

 “For all our efforts, TripAdvisor awarded us its Certificate of Excellence in 2011, 2012 and 2013; TripAdvisor Travelers Choice likewise picked us as the Top 15 Hotel Service in the Philippines for 2013; the Business Initiative Directions based in Madrid, Spain conferred us with the International Quality Crown Award Gold Category in their London 2012 Convention; and Cebu Pacific Smile Magazine named us the Best Hotel for Stress-Free Business Trip in 2012. Mr. Cu also shared in his acceptance speech that out of the many thank-you emails he received from guests, one from the executive director of the Institute for Solidarity in Asia, read “Thank you, Allan. You and your team at the Avenue Plaza Hotel have shown that a service culture is possible in a provincial city like Naga.” Ladies and gentlemen, that and this are the reasons why we never stop. Dios Mabalospo!” he added.

Under the “Enterprise Service Excellence” category of the Gayon Bicol Awards, Avenue Plaza Hotel in Naga City was chosen for projects, products and services that are innovative in the tourism field demonstrated through new technologies, environmentally-friendly applications and corporate social responsibility engagement.

DOT Bicol regional director Maria NiniRavanilla said the award will serve as an inspiration to anybody to contribute to the development of the tourism industry of the region, especially with impact on the national and global community.
