Taytay in Rizal, known as the Garments Capital of the Philippines is indeed a massive haven for RTW’s at a vvverrryy and insanely affordable price. Left, right, side and back of the main road, medyo exagerrated po ako pero totoot kasi na sobrang lawak talaga haha. Kung may bagsakan ng gulay, eto din ang bagsakan ng garments. Before it was said that they were just renting in Baclaran, Divisoria area and now mostly are back here in its origin since 2014. I think this is a much much better location compared to driving all the way to Manila if you're just looking for affordable clothes.
Here are 5 simple tips for your Taytay Tiangge Shopping
Tip No. 1: According to my Aunt who lives in Cainta, best day to go there is either Monday and Thursday especially at night starting at 6pm, where almost all the Tiangges are open. And meant to be! During our visit, we didn't know that there's a schedule but we went there exactly on a Thursday. 😊 We were at Recto area, took the LRT Line 2 then baba sa Santolan Station (P25) then took the jeep (P21) going to Taytay. Bawal ang maarte po digdi. You are in for A LOT of savings here so you better work your ass out. You can search nalang po for the latest schedule.
Tip No. 2: Wear light and comfortable clothes. A small purse is advisable or a sling bag to make this easier for you. Bring your mobile phone, you might lose your friends while you get so indulged in shopping. It might get too hot as well depending on the time of your shopping. Also, it's a must that we take extra care of our personal belongings.
This is the landmark that you can actually see if you're in the right place. But wait, it's all the Tiangge that you will see as the landmark. haha |
❣️Dress P100 to P150 ⬆️ Formal dresses pinakamahal na ang P350
❣️Shirts at P50, Blouses starts at P65
❣️Shorts starts at P35
❣️Pants/Slocks starts P100
❣️Ternos / Jumpsuits / Jumpshorts starts at P120
❣️Jackets P150
❣️ Kids wear ay jusmi basta less than P100 haha and many many moreeee
With these pricing, you will really need a big bag. Trust me. Sa next post ko nalang ippakita yung nabili ko worth P795 in total and guess how many pieces un? 7 pieces of clothes! 🤪
Tip No. 4: While you might say that everything they are selling will be the same per Tiangge, actually it's a NO. We actually went to three big tiangge's and there were differences in terms of designs. So, it really takes a lot of effort
Tip No. 5: Bring your own bottled water, remember to #itravelResponsibly. There are stalls selling snacks too in the area but it's better to keep yourself hydrated always.
How to get there?
From Quiapo, take a bus, jeep, or UV Express to Taytay. From Cubao, you can take a jeep or UV Express to Angono/Binangonan.
If you’re driving to the Taytay, just key in Club Manila East on Google Maps or Waze.
These garments are actually the ones that you see on television, sometimes even used by hosts, news anchors and the like. If you are looking for a business opportunity in terms of online selling or boutique shops, this is actually one of the best sources in the Philippines.
Don't expect too much on the quality, because hey just look at the price, but you can still get your money's worth if you're just good enough at choosing the most durable and quality ones. And yes there are many of them.
Enjoy your Taytay Tiangge shopping!
